"Gunplay" Maxwell (1867-1909). From the mid 1890's till his death in 190, Maxwell was friend, bodyguard, and business associate of Mark Pomeroy Braffet. In fact, following Maxwell's death, Mark Braffet was the only non-family member to attend his burial. I have been trying to trace down Mark Braffet's relatives to see if any of them have any material relating to C.L. Maxwell. Do you know if any of Mark's papers relating to his law and businesses have survived the past 100 years and might be lurking out there somewhere?"
