!REFERENCE: 22-Jan-2006 email from daughter-in-law of Annie Braffet to Don Braffitt, "We have just now finally figured out the mystery of why Rexaville was not living with her parents, Lydia (Slagle) and James Braffet, in the 1850 Grant Co., Indiana census. The census was taken on 9 Aug. 1850. Silas was born on 6 Aug. 1850. So Lydia was probably not up to taking care of Rexaville, given the fact she had just given birth to Silas, three days prior to the census being taken. So that is most likely why Rexaville was staying in a neighboring house."
!REFERENCE: 21-Oct-2009 email from great-great granddaughter Gwen MacDonald to Don Braffitt, "Stumbled across your family tree in which Charles & Sarah Rexaville BRAFETT Norton were listed. I have been searching for info about the family. Sarah would have been my gr-gr grandmother. Charles & Rexaville --> daughter Frances NORTON Wynkoop (married my gr grandfather, Mathew Calvin Wynkoop in Whatcom, WA territory). Son (my gr father, Charles Calvin Wynkoop born 1885 Whatcom Wash terr.) Frances died 1 year after Charles Calvin's birth. Matt worked his land as did Charles Norton. Matt and Charles were close friends and may have known each other in Calif. Sarah Rexaville cared for Charles Calvin till Matt moved Charles Calvin to Matt's mother's home in Plumville, PA. Then he retured to Whatcom worked his land, was a sherriff, and eventually sold his land before 1890 to return to PA. Sarah's son Luke married and they had 3 girls. One cared for Luke and his wife and lived in the family home till her death. The other married a Fletcher (??) and died in Orange County, Ca..(I live in Los Angeles, Ca)."
