!NOTE: The father(s) of Lucinda’s children are a mystery. Nancy L. Johnson is listed as single in the 1900 census in the household of her parents. Robert M. Johnson is listed in the same household as a grandson, but it is not clear if any of his parents are living in the household. The one reference to a name for a father of any child of Nancy Lucinda Johnson is in the 1919 marriage certificate for Robert Johnson. By 1910, Nancy L. is listed as a widow, so it is possible that J. H. Johnson is the father of her first two children. The death certificate for Robert Johnson’s younger sister Ollie Johnson lists her father as unknown. It seems very likely that the two older children of Nancy Lucinda Johnson have a father other than J. H. Johnson.
