!CENSUS: 09-Aug-1850 Wilkes, NC, 465/465, Sarah Johnson
!NOTE: The parents of Sarah Johnson are unclear. For the 1850 census, she is recorded in the household of Jesse Franklin Johnson and Sarah Rebecca Porter. Sarah Rebecca Porter probably died about 1859 before Jesse remarried. Sarah Johnson is not listed in the family for the 1860 census. In her 1870 marriage record, her parents are listed as Lewis and May Johnson. In her 1915 death record, her father is listed as Lu and Polly Johnson. However, there are numerous DNA connections between a descendant of John Louis Johnson and descendants of Sarah Johnson Porter, so Sarah Johnson Porter seems likely to be a descendant of a close relative of John Louis Johnson even if she and John Louis Johnson are not siblings.
!NOTE: Pearl Hash Johnson recorded Bud Miller as the spouse of Sarah M. Johnson, daughter of Jesse Franklin Johnson and Sarah Rebecca Porter. This lends more evidence to the possibility that Sarah M. Johnson and Sarah Lemira Johnson (who married George Leland Porter) are different people.
