James Leonard Nash was born on November 24, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Lewis Adolphus & Helen (Douglass) Nash. He was united in marriage to Carol Orris Braffett on September 21, 1963 in Richmond, Texas. Jim was a golf professional and a car salesman for many years. He was a member of the Milam County Cowboy Church and he was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed teaching golf, gunsmithing, shooting, fishing, and hunting. He was a true outdoorsman. He also loved traveling and reading about Texas History. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Jim passed away the evening of Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Austin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis & Helen Nash. Jim is survived by his wife, Carol of Lexington; two children, Chris Nash of Texas City, and Terri Silvers and her husband, Jimmie of Angleton; two grandchildren, Trey Silvers & Zachary Silvers both of Angleton; brother, Lewis Nash and his wife, Christina of Tomball; brother-in-law, Charles Braffett Jr. and his wife, Judy of Pearland, as well as several nieces and nephews.
