!REFERENCE: 07-Mar-1999 Roanoke Times, Roanoke, VA, obituary, "HASH, James William, 89, of Salem, passed away Friday, March 5, 1999. He was retired from the Veteran Administration Medical Center in Salem. Surviving are his wife, Viola Mae Hash; sons and daughters-in-law, James W., Jr. and Mariko Hash, Jacksonville, N.C., George R. and Jeanne Hash, Tuscon, Ariz., Richard P. and Carolyn Hash, Fredericksburg; daughter, Martha A. Kent, Roanoke; foster son, Wayne "Butch" Johnson and wife Annette, Drummond, Tenn.; a sister, Myrtle E. Hash, Roanoke; sisters-in-law, Hazel Hash, Beulah St.Clair and Billie Darnell, all of Roanoke; also seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Monday, March 8,1 999 at Lotz Salem Chapel, with the Rev. Billie White officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem."
