He was 92. The son of the late Frank E. and Josephine Braffett Earl, he was born 28 Jun 1925 in Farmingdale, New York. Fred served as a petty officer in the Navy on the USS Panamint AGC-13 as a Radio Operator in the Pacific and was a member of the American Legion. He was a Police Officer in the Walden Police Department and past Town of Shawangunk Town Judge, as well as a member of the State Magistrates Association. He worked as a Corrections Lt. for Wallkill Correctional Facility in Wallkill. Fred was past Grand Master of Wallkill Masonic Lodge #627 and a member of the Lions Club. Fred was an avid outdoorsman and past secretary in the Dwaarkill Rod and Gun Club. Fred also, along with Bill Ransom, started the Montgomery Club in Narrowsburg, New York. Survivors include his: Wife: Betty at home. Son: Fred D. Earl & Michelle Mintz of Wallkill, New York. Daughter: Brenda Miller. Niece: Michelle & husband Ron. Sister: Susie. Sister: Frances. Faithful dog: Tiny & Sheba. Visitation will be Saturday, 16 Sep 2017 from 10-11am at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank Street, Walden, New York 12586. Funeral services will be follow at 11:30am at the funeral home. Pastor Howie Dalton will officiate.
