Strawberries and a bat in Hollis, NH

Here are some pictures from a spring day in Hollis.  Click for a larger image.

A family of bats lives in our garage attic, and one baby got separated and ended up on the garage floor.  Becky put out a rolled up sock, and the baby climbed up on the sock.  Becky then managed to give the baby some water through an eye dropper before we hung the sock up in the garage rafters hoping the mother would be able to get to the baby there.  According to a bat person we talked to, the mother is not strong enough to land on the garage floor and then fly off with the baby attached to her.

Strawberry picking started yesterday.  This is the first batch we picked this season.
