Last updated: 27-Feb-2023 The folder https://willbraffitt.org/roots/Cook1930/ contains pictures from the 50th wedding anniversary of Charles Comer Cook and Mary Jane Wild. This anniversary was also the 1st Cook reunion which usually takes place in the Roswell area each August. These pictures are from Mary Cook McGuffey (1918-1985), granddaughter of Charles Cook and Mary Wild. She gave this copy of the pictures to me (Don Braffitt) in the early 1980s when I visited her in Monroe, GA. The handwriting on the backs of the pictures is probably from Mary McGuffey. This copy has no handwriting on the backs of the pictures of the grandchildren. William Corley Cook (1930-2017), grandson of Charles Cook and Mary Wild, ran a web site which included a discussion group around these pictures, primarily in an attempt to correctly identify everyone in the pictures. Unfortunately, that web site is no longer available, and there is no known archive of those discussions. You can see some of the children of Charles Cleaborn Cook and Daisy Mae Blackwell Coker Cook. This is my interpretation of the pictures of the grandchildren. Charles (age 8) is holding Loy (age 1), and Thomas (almost age 4) is standing next to Loy. Mary (age 12) is in the back standing behind someone who has their hands on Dorothy's (age 6) shoulders. Send email to don@willbraffitt.org with any corrections or additions and I will add your suggestions or ideas to this note.
