!NOTE: Silas was born probably in what is today Burlington, Bradford, PA. He probably moved to the area of Harrison, Darke, OH around 1820 where he married Mary Woods who was born in VA. Silas helped lay out the town of Braffettsville in Harrison, Darke, OH in 1833. Their 12 children were probably born in the township before the family moved to Sims, Grant, IN around 1848 when Silas bought land in the township. The family lived in Sims through the deaths of Mary (1866) and Silas (1867). Some children lived in Richland, Grant, IN. Orris fought in the Civil War moving with his family to Princeton, Mercer, MO after the war. The descendants of Orris and his wife Teressa migrated to MO, OK, TX, AZ, and CA.
