!REFERENCE: 07-Jan-2011 email from great great granddaughter Diane Porfidio to Don Braffitt, "George Hossafous and his daughter Elsie from 2nd wife Rachel Norris died in Los Angeles CA in 1895. George's first wife Wealthy Jaqua gave birth to only 1 son before she died... my great grandfather Henry C. Hossafous b. 1855 d. 1927. Wealthy A Jaqua Hossafous b. 1822 d. 1861. George then married Rachel Norris and she gave birth to 4 daughters... Mary, Weathy, Elsie, and Currence (Minnie) Currence married William Harp... Currence died and William married her sister Wealthy in Oklahoma. We never found out where Mary ended up after moving to Los Angeles."

!DEATH: 07-Oct-2008 email from great great granddaughter Diane Porfidio to Don Braffitt, "Hi, My grandmother was Wealthy Ann Hossafous Alter, daughter of Henry C. Hossafous and Belle Emmons. Henry was George and Wealthy Jaqua Hossafous' son. Someone has done some marvelous work and we do appreciate it. I just wanted you to know that we are pretty sure Wealthy Jaqua Hossafous died in 1861 and not 1854 ... one month after her marriage ... since she is the mother of my great grandfather Henry Hossafous. We are still searching for George's relatives in Germany. I found Geo Hossafous and his daughter Elsie buried in Glendale CA so have sent letters to CA for death certificates. Hopefully I hear back. Thanks again for all your info and work on this ... just that one correction if you agree. Diane Alter Porfidio"
