441, "Notes for WILLIAM SMITH CRUMLEY: William's father, Charles, died when William was about six years. William was cared for by his uncle, Thomas Crumley, and shown as a son on the 1800 Federal Census. William, his wife, and at least one daughter, Mary P. Allison, are buried at the Monroe Methodist Church in Sautee, Georgia. This church William Crumley set up and organized. The church was named after his wife's family, the Monroe family. William came from SC, to NC, to GA. He was the Grandfather of Sidney Crumley, not the father, as some may have indicated."
