!REFERENCE: 25-Mar-2008 email from Charles Jester to Don Braffitt, "I came across your family information this morning. I am a descendant of Louisiana McNabb who I believe to be the sister of Martha and of Calvin McNabb. She married Jeremiah Johnson in Covington, Kentucky in 1853. I also have another child of Martha and Martin, an Arthur W Bridewell, born November 15, 1873 and died January 12, 1878. He is buried in the Linden Grove Cemetery, Covington, Kentucky. The birth in Mississippi of both Martha and Calvin has always puzzled me. I believe they are the children (along with Louisiana) of Thomas McNabb and Mary Ross who lived in Trigg Co., Ky and died in McCracken Co., Ky. Calvin and Louisiana are living as tenants in the household of Samuel Johnson in 1850 and later one of Martha’s daughters is in Louisiana’s household at census time in 1870 or so. Thomas died about 1837 and Mary, apparently, between 1840 and 1850. It is exciting to find someone working on Martha’s descendants. Charles Jester. Germantown, Tennessee."
!REFERENCE: Feb-2009 emails from Don Allen to Don Braffitt, "Hello, My name is Don Allen and I descend from Lorenzo George Washington McNabb who according to his tombstone in Stockdale, Wilson Co, TX was born 1 Oct, 1825 and died 13 Dec, 1911. The first record I find of him is his marriage cert dated 18 July, 1848 in Johnson Co, IL. Johnson Co, IL is right across the Ohio River from McCracken Co, KY. McCracken Co KY is the location where a Mary McNabb is living in 1840 with two sons who are in the age bracket of Lorenzo. In only one census Lorenzo states a KY birth....all the other census he states a TN birth. According to 1880 through 1910 census his father and mother were born in either SC or TN. I do not know where they got the information or even who submitted the information but someone registered the parents of Lorenzo McNabb to be Thomas McNabb and Mary Ross. I see that your person sheet has Thomas McNabb and Mary Ross to be the parents of several McNabbs in Kenton Co, KY. I have no records that show the parents of Lorenzo. Is there any records that show the children of Thomas and Mary McNabb that you are aware of? Thanks. Don Allen. ... The site that showed the parents to be Thomas McNabb and Mary Ross was from a submittal made to the LDS from some unknown individual. That is the only submittal anywhere as far as I know which shows the purported parents of LGW McNabb."
