I have Thomas's father as Richard Southard & his mother as Deliah Mason. Richard's parents were John & Betty ( no last name for her ) Deliah's parents were John Mason & Elizabeth. Long story short my great great grandmother was Henrietta J Branham Southworth, she was the mother of my great grandmother Cordelia Southworth Barker. In my researching I found the cemetery where there is now a stone, at the time there was no stone. I am interested in contacting the person or persons who put the stone there as I believe from information that I have gotten in the past that my great great grandfather Andrew J Barker may be buried there. ... Sarah Southworth Satterwhite was a sister to my Cordelia. Long story short, Cordelia was my grandfather’s mother, his name is Joseph Lee Warner Barker. His neice did research back in the late 60’s and early 70’s and left her son 3 legal size notebooks, handwritten on her information. Some of what she had I have found to be incorrect, however she says Cordelia is buried at the feet of her sister Sarah. Sarah is buried at Concord Baptist Church in Caroline County. My great grandfather William J. Barker was married twice, first to Cordelia Ann Southworth. When Cordelia passed away William remarried, he married Betty Peachy Southworth, and Crystal comes from that family. ... The second wife of William J. Barker, Betty Peachy Southworth her Southworth's were from King William so they could be distantly related ir a different set. Crystal and my connection would be the Barker family. Sarah southworth satterwhite had a daughter named Earlene, she married Marshall Tate. Marshall and my grandmother Maude Tate Barker were brother and sister. So ... that meant Erlene and my grandfather were cousins (because their mothers were sister) and they were also brother and sister in laws (as their spouses were brother and sister). Gets confusing."
