!REFERENCE: 05-Aug-2012 email from niece Susan Crawford to Don Braffitt, "My grandmother Clara was probably the family member I was closest to, besides my mom. I spent many a happy summer with grama in Cayucos. The 1913 date of her first marriage is correct, but the last name of her husband was Kenneth "Ruth" rather than "Ruff". He died in, I believe, 1918 during the Great Flu Epidemic, as he was already in a weakened condition due to having sustained smoke inhalation, while fighting a wildfire in their grain fields. Clara's child from that marriage, Norma Nell, is still alive, will be 91 this year, and lives in Santa Maria, CA. My mother, Marian Pedrotta Buley, is still alive, age 86, and lives in Ventura, CA. Her brother Jimmy (James) Pedrotta had died of leukemia at age 7, in 1937."
