Reeves passed away Friday after a prolonged illness, aged seventy-one years, and her death takes from this world a most excellent Christian lady. As Elizabeth Hand she was born in Randolph county, Ala., and was united in marriage there with Mr. Reeves forty-six years ago.They came to Cedartown not long after and this has been their home ever since. Four children were born to them, two dying in infancy.A son, Mr. William B. Reeves, served as County Treasurer, and died a few years ago.A daughter, Mrs. John Mee, survives to share the grief of the bereaved husband. The deceased was a faithful member of the Baptist church, with which she united in early girlhood, and was a woman of consecrated life. Funeral services were conducted Sunday by her former pastor, Dr. C.K Henderson of LaFayette, assisted by Rev., C.C.
