Willie remarried a Joe Lane from Hanover County and they had several children. She and Joe are buried at Independence Christian Church Cemetery. That is also where my grandmother, Lula and her husband, Harry Smeeman, are buried. My grandmother knew little about her father's family. I remember when questioned, she told me that family had moved to West Virginia and she had no information. She loved her "Terry" siblings. As a child, I knew the younger ones and have a vague memory of them. ...
