!NOTE: Sometimes the name is Lucy. Some records reference the family of Asa Newell and Jerusha Wood, but the children from that marriage appear to be a completely different family that is somewhat contemporary with the family of Asa Newell and Martha "Lucy". It seems probably that there were 2 different people at about the same time named Asa Newell. One married Jerusha Wood. One married Martha whose name is sometimes listed as Lucy.
