!NOTE: There is some dispute as to Charles Cleaborn Cook's birth year. Mary Elizabeth Cook had 1895, Mary Gib New had 1896, T. A. White document has 1896523. Mary Gib New said 1895 might exist in some places because she thought Charles Cleaborn Cook said he was older than he really was to join the Navy.
!NOTE: Cleaborn had dark brown eyes. Carol Beiter Radford said that Robert "Bo" Beiter Jr. was the first granchild of Cleaborn Cook and Daisy Mae Blackwell Cook to have brown eyes. Jimmy Cook confirmed that Jennifer Cook has one blue eye and one brown eye.
!NOTE: Mary Gib New said the spelling of Charles Cleaborn Cook's middle name is "Cleborn".
